A small, hard-working consulting firm based on the Isle of Wight but covering the whole of the United Kingdom. Established in 2013, we hit the ground running with providing transport planning services to a variety of market sectors including residential, health, ports and energy. From feasibility to outline design, we offer our clients the full package of transport planning services to help you realise your development and infrastructure projects.

​​​​​​​​​​​When dealing with matters of planning, I strongly believe in the personal approach to resolving issues and formed Transport Seeds with a view to provide my clients with a pragmatic and common sense approach to their transport planning needs.  ​Producing an outstanding transport planning solution is rarely enough - managing interactions between the various stakeholders and often conflicting expectations is also crucial.

I hold a Masters in Transport Planning and Highway Engineering from the University of Leeds and in 2013, after holding senior positions at a number of large multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancies throughout the UK, I founded Transport Seeds Limited, a specialist transport planning consultancy based on the Isle of Wight, where I apply my extensive knowledge and experience of a full range of transport planning matters gained over 20 years’ experience in the field.  I am also currently working with Hampshire County Council, providing technical and training support to their in-house transport and highway services team.    

Although well versed in traffic engineering and transport modelling, my area of expertise lies in development planning and I have been advising major retailers, house builders, land owners and developers on the impacts of new development from the initial site appraisal stages through to planning and implementation.  I have extensive experience of in preparing planning application material and in undertaking post-submission negotiations with local authorities.  From planning to successful project delivery, I have guided clients and design teams on a wide range of planning and statutory procedures, including Planning and Highways Act Agreements (Section 106, 38 and 278), policy advice, planning negotiations and land compensation advice.

Being of a sociable nature with a curiosity to match, I am adept at engaging with clients, regulatory bodies and members of the public alike to provide you and your project with the best possible outcome…although, if called for, I do enjoy providing expert witness evidence at Public Inquiries!
